Describe your DJ style:
Modern, fresh and unique. Anybody can play an itunes playlist on their computer. It takes a vast knowledge of music across all genres, mixed with reading the crowd, creative programming and skilled mixing to create an awesome dance experience.
How big is your music library?
The entire library is well over 50,000 songs, including hit songs from every genre from 1930 through today. Beyond commercially available music, I have a large number of unique custom edits, remixes, and mashups available.
Can you accommodate ethnic or international weddings?
Yes. I have experience working with couples from all across the globe.
How do you handle client requests that are not in your library?
Most often, the songs you are looking for are in my library. However, there are exceptions such as independent artists, special arrangements, unreleased tracks, ethnic music, etc. I will acquire any song necessary for your reception.
Do you emcee?
Yes. Emcee responsibilities, as well as reception coordination, are part of every wedding experience, unless specifically discussed.
What will you wear at our wedding?
Black suit and black tie (white or black shirt, depending on reception style)
How many other DJs work for you?
None. I (David) DJ every event personally. There are a few folks that help out with larger setups and logistics, but you can feel secure knowing nobody will show up in my place.
Can we meet you before our wedding?
Absolutely! As a matter-of-fact, I insist on either a face-to-face meeting or video chat online before paying a deposit to any vendor. Personality and energy are so important and cannot be assessed through email. Check out the Osborne DJ Wedding Process page for more information.
Do you have a backup plan in case you become unavailable on my wedding date?
Yes. I participate in a strong network of DJ’s that assist each other in extreme circumstances. I have never missed a wedding, but I am prepared for every situation.
Do you have backup equipment?
Yes. I use all BOSE, QSC and Pioneer audio equipment as my main-gear, but I have Mackie and Numark professional grade equipment that goes to every event as backup-gear.
What is your overtime rate?
$200/hour billed in half hour increments based on your event pacakge.
Do you charge for travel?
All events more than 20 miles outside of Athens, GA may be subject to travel fees. Specific fees are dependent on distance and situation.
Do you have liability insurance?
Yes, both liability and equipment coverage.
